Larry Stanley only had one of his songs made into a video and that was made as an art school project by Richard Mongiat and Margit Westphal. It was done in pre-digital times and on a nonexistent budget but we hope that this won’t distract you from the beauty of his song. The Family Jewels performed two songs from the Save The Carnival cassette on CHCH TV and they are included here as well. Besides his own songwriting career, Larry played keyboards with a number of other performers throughout his musical life. He played with Daisy DeBolt, Barbara Lynch, The Time Twins, Invent The Game and Heads In The Sky to name a few. The other videos on offer are from two of those performers. “Cool Boy” is from a Barbara Lynch performance on City TV’s Breakfast TV from 1992 (when Larry played in her band). There are two videos from the venerable Daisy DeBolt, “Caught Between A Rock And A Hard Place” from 1986 and “Log” filmed at a house concert in 1995. Larry co-wrote a number of the songs and was involved in the musical arrangements on Daisy’s solo CD’s.
